GitHub rolled out several security updates across secret scanning and public monitoring on July 15, 2026.
Resend joined the GitHub secret scanning partner program, and new detectors were added for `apiclub_api_key` and `resend_api_key`.
Push protection now blocks `volcengine_ark_api_key` by default in repositories with secret scanning enabled, including free public repositories.
The `secret_scanning_alert` webhook payload now includes a `secret_category` field to distinguish `default` detections from `generic` detections.
GitHub said the new webhook field aligns with the Default and Generic views in secret scanning, which should simplify alert filtering and routing in internal automation.
The public monitoring alert list now shows top-level insight cards for associated leaks by attribution, enterprise member count, and verified domains.
GitHub positions the new alert-list summary as a faster way for security teams to assess exposure scope before reviewing individual alerts.

Sakana AI said on July 16 that it is working with NVIDIA to add NVIDIA Nemotron to its Sakana Fugu orchestration system.
Fugu exposes a single interface and API, then selects and combines multiple models and agents for each task.
Sakana said Nemotron will be used as specialized agents, adding coding, tool-calling, and instruction-following capabilities to the pool.
The design lets Fugu add newer open models over time instead of depending on one model's strengths, limits, or availability.
Sakana and NVIDIA framed the collaboration around open models, agent orchestration, and feedback from real multi-step production workflows.

Anthropic and Blackstone launched Ode, a new enterprise AI implementation company built to deploy Anthropic systems inside customer operations.
Ode operates with a Claude-first model, using Anthropic tooling such as Claude Tag in Slack when it fits the workflow, while allowing rival models when required.
The company works with Anthropic's applied AI team to identify high-impact use cases and build custom systems around each organization's business processes.
Fractional AI became the base of the venture after the joint effort acquired the startup, turning its AI engineering services model into Ode's delivery foundation.
Ode currently has 100 engineers and positions the work around end-to-end implementation quality rather than model choice alone.
Anthropic said its internal team will stay focused on strategic deployments, while Ode handles broader enterprise rollouts as the implementation layer for production AI adoption.
