- Bots can send and receive DMs and media through Meta's Instagram Messaging API
- The adapter supports quick-reply and link-button cards, typing indicators, reactions, and story replies
- Developers can configure the adapter with `@chat-adapter/instagram` in a Chat SDK bot
- A professional Business or Creator account is required
- Streamed responses are buffered into one message, and Meta enforces a 24-hour messaging window

Apple, EU App Store fee structure revised
- Apple announced a new software commission structure for iPhone apps distributed in the European Union
- App Store transactions using Apple’s payment system will carry a 26% commission
- Apps using their own payment processing will pay 20%, while website-linked purchases will pay 15%
- Apps distributed through third-party app stores or the web will pay a 5% Core Technology Commission
- Some fees can be reduced by half through Apple programs
- The new tiers replace Apple’s previous proposal and take effect on October 1, 2026
- Apple said the changes address disagreements with the European Commission over the Digital Markets Act and include child-safety measures
