Vercel Sandbox, Global Availability Expanded

  • Vercel Sandbox is now available globally across four regions: iad1, sfo1, cle1, and cdg1.
  • iad1 remains the default region, with support for additional Vercel regions planned.
  • Region selection is available on all plans; Pro and Enterprise teams can configure failover regions.
  • Snapshots remain tied to their creation region and normally require the sandbox to use that region.
  • During failover, Vercel automatically loads snapshots across regions.
  • Regions can be configured through project settings, the Vercel CLI, or the Sandbox SDK and CLI.

Microsoft nonprofit grant retirement linked to data loss

  • One nonprofit said its OneDrive data was deleted on June 11 and could not be recovered
  • A Microsoft representative reportedly told the organization that roughly 171,000 small NGOs had lost data
  • Microsoft said the grants were retired to simplify its nonprofit offering and advised customers to migrate before renewal
  • Some organizations received warnings and completed migrations, while others reported no clear follow-up notification
  • The reported impact includes disrupted operations and difficulty moving data to alternative services
