  • Enterprise owners can grant GitHub Apps access to enterprise billing data
  • The new enterprise billing permission supports read or read-and-write access levels
  • Installation access tokens can call enterprise billing REST API endpoints
  • Apps can retrieve usage data, reconcile invoices, and manage budgets and cost centers
  • Billing automation no longer depends on a personal access token owned by one administrator
  • App installation tokens also receive higher rate limits than personal access tokens
  • The permission is available on GitHub Enterprise Cloud
