GitHub Copilot, Enterprise Default Models Configurable
- Enterprise-managed settings now let administrators choose the default GitHub Copilot model for new conversations
- Different default models can be assigned by enterprise team through team-mappings.json
- Administrators can mark the model key as overridable so teams can select their own preferred default
- Users outside configured teams inherit the enterprise-wide default model
- The feature is generally available with Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise
- Support covers the GitHub Copilot app, Copilot CLI, and Visual Studio Code
