Mistral, Large 4 Public Preview Opens
- Mistral has opened a public preview of Mistral Large 4 through Mistral Studio, according to the company.
- The model has 1 trillion total parameters and 49 billion active parameters, according to Mistral.
- It targets coding, agentic workflows, cybersecurity, finance, legal work, and multimodal understanding.
- Mistral says Large 4 was trained on 3,800 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs in its European data centers.
- Training data covered more than 160 languages, including every official European Union language.
- Model weights are scheduled for release by the end of October 2026, with open-weight and self-deployment support.
